We have a unique approach within our mission. We are a bridge
organization, which we are proud to say it is a niche that P.A.N.D.O.R.A. is proud to promote and we do it quite well. We collaborate with other organizations in projects that we feel are worthwhile and in projects that are best left for others to implement. We are grant givers to individual advocates, scientific researchers and other non-profit organizations. We simply don’t want to re-invent the wheel.
With a membership of 1,450 members through our web site, our P.A.N.D.O.R.A. web site in 2009 had 140,000 + visitors. We have a very active Facebook page. You can follow us on Twitter. We are on ME-CFS community.com and on Phoenix-Rising.org. We have several cause pages on Facebook, but the main ones are the NEI Center™ and the BringingRyanhome.
Our latest most important worldwide projects include: The 2007 IACFS-ME conference hosted and sponsored in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Over the years we have disbursed grants to Dr. Gordon Broderick, Dr. Nancy Klimas, Dr. Ferran J. García-Fructuoso, and to the Vermont CFIDS association for the Dr. Friedman medical student scholarship, to the CFIDS Association & the National Fibromyalgia Association for their advocacy work, as well as to for Cort Johnson from Phoenix Rising. We have provided grants to physicians to learn to attend scientific conferences. We attend every CFS Advisory Committee meeting in Washington DC. We work closely with the ME-CFSknowledgecenter.com. We are expanding our Advocates Extraordinaire™ program to be associated with the patient-driven grass roots efforts of the establishment of the NEI Center™. Our directors are diversified and speak English, Spanish and Portuguese.
P.A.N.D.O.R.A. actively supports the concept that we are One Voice, One Community, One Cause™ united to strengthen our political base and advocacy efforts.
